Some good data and a couple of interesting targets…

0849: From Ted Waitt
I’m planning on leaving on the 14th and will rendezvous with R/V SJ on the 19th.
0859: Response To Ted Waitt
Yeppers, I lined Dominique Rissolo out on the schedule you and I agreed on a while back. We’re still planning to head back for our turnaround on March 25th (leave grounds), a two-day push-back. In town on Sunday, the 29th, for the plane and then out Tuesday night.
We’re working hard to line out transducers. I’m planning on getting them to you (perhaps a spare set of cables as well) before you leave Friday. Are you planning wheels up in the evening on the 14th?

AUV Operator/Technician Robin Littlefield of the Woods Hole (WHOI) team grabs some deserved down time on the bow hammock.
Mary Ann is back up from her second test run in a couple hours. Ginger came up okay from box 9b, but it looks like a faulty alignment on the INU had her navs squirrely (not an operator error, just another one of those things). We’re gonna run it again. Too many holidays to leave 20% of that high probability box effectively unsurveyed. Also, I just finished a slow run through what data was good in it and saw a couple interesting targets. But we don’t have good navs = we don’t really know where they are for a camera run. I’m a bit punchy. Gonna go down for a couple hours then bounce back up for Mary Ann’s recovery from the transducer test run at 0700; two hours.
