0745: From Mike Purcell RE: Transducers
Potentially only two weeks to go until Leg 2 starts. If we have no further losses we will have two sets of 75/410, one set of 120/410 and one set of 230/540 transducers. The best option may be to get additional 120/410 transducers. Do you guys have any comments? As a minimum I think we need:
1. Additional cables for 120/410 and 230/540;
2. Two additional 120/410 transducers (I have picked these because they are most available and we may be able to lease/borrow). At the moment I have no leads; and,
3. 120/410 T/R switch ccas.

Hydroid has given us a quote for LARS parts: about $200 for each pin because they are in stock, and about $8,000 for other parts. There is an expedite fee. They forgot the WID 10% discount. I will order on Monday.
Among the parts ordered for the port call are some replacements for the LARS.
0747: My Answer To Purcell
I agree it would be good to get as many sets of spare transducers as we can. Everything else also sounds good there, plus whatever Greg Packard recommends. We will, of course, need breakdowns of what we’re ordering for approvals, but they shouldn’t be a problem at all.
