Smooth Sailing

The data looks good, but no hot targets…

Vehicle ops run 24/7 and this often means recovering in the dark, made easier during a beautiful night at sea.

0946: To Ted Waitt
Ted, I’m not gonna do my update until later, but wanted you to know everything’s OK. Girls are on missions five and six for this Leg, Ginger should be getting up into 19 today. Data looks good, no hot targets (no targets at all, really). Weather is good, few clouds, big moon, tad choppy, but nothing serious. The crew is coming together pretty nicely. Only happening of note is that we are running the vehicles to the limit of their batteries so sometimes when they come up they have little to no battery power left. We deployed a swimmer once to kick the float out, and another time to free a line that was fouled in a ship’s zinc anode. Very little else to report. All good.
