Pulling Up Anchor
No final targets, but no regrets…

Time to pack it up.
0222: Day 36 (Yesterday, May 12)
We have concluded operations. Our last dive went the distance with no targets of any note. We pulled the last three Deep Ocean Transponders (DOTs) out of the water and at 10:20 p.m., and began our run back to American Samoa. All hands and all equipment are safely aboard. The teams are disappointed we did not accomplish our goal, although everyone feels we did our very best — and I agree. I feel confident we did not miss our target. Our data is excellent — we simply did not image the plane. I have no regrets for any of our operational decisions and cannot think of anything I would do differently other than maybe look elsewhere — and that’s hindsight. I will follow up tomorrow with some numbers of our coverage. To those of you who have assisted our operations, many thanks.
